Aside from the good looks they serve. Are they the most accurate representation of the gheis on TV? Well, probably not 100% but they're the least stereotypical and the actual premise of the couple seems very realistic. Both closet-cases Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Mickey (Noel Fisher) can be seen during "Shameless US" on Showtime. It's an amazing show.

David & Keith's relationship from Six Feet Under was a very great portrayal of a homosexual relationship, as well. Very slightly clichéd in some parts, but so are most of us gays, anyway.
The UK Shameless is much better. Often gay characters rely too much on stereotypes but sometimes their despicted accurately.
No one is saying anything about which one is better. Besides, they're two different shows. No need for the comparison. I personally think the US version *****.
