Selling a $10 album > selling a $1 song
Selling out stadiums > selling out high school auditoriums
Getting a #1 album > getting a #1 single
Getting hundreds of awards based on the quality of your music > getting 10 awards based on the quality of the music given to you
Getting million dollar checks from song writing credits > getting whatever is left over after everyone else is paid their dues

Taylor is, by far, the more successful one. Ask Forbes.

Didn't Rihanna sell out O2 Arena like 8 times or something. I haven't checked eithers touring numbers but if the O2 thing is true, I'm sure Rihanna wouldn't have issues selling out stadiums or arenas.

The thing is it doesn't seem Rihanna has an organized a base of fans (thus her ebb and flow in singles and albums) as these other girls which makes her success all the more impressive.

Which says a lot considering Rihanna released a new album in that time span and Taylor did not.

Point is: Taylor is more successful in that department. We're not comparing to older artist or new artist or even comparing the quality of the music. We are talking about their successes and who has seen more. Hint? It's Taylor.

Gurl Taylor has no album that old under 5.5 million, Rihanna has 4.
Taylor sold the same amount of singles as Rihanna without all those additional sales as a feature artist.
Her US tour alone demolish rihanna her WW tour numbers. n the list go on........

Taylor is clearly far more successful in the U.S. then, but Rihanna is more successful internationally. If the question was who is more successful in the US, Taylor hands down. U.S. numbers alone doesn't make me give Taylor the stand in general even if Rihanna's WW sales are equal to Taylor's predominantly US sales.

The poll didn't say I had to quantify my answer to money or this or that. It's an opinion. Rihanna is having more success in much more countries than Taylor. Taylor having more sales in a shorter time in one country, for the most, doesn't erase the fact that most other countries would be "Taylor who?" For me that is important in success. For you it isn't.

Taylor Swift? C'mon! Nobody knows her outside US! And even inside the US, Rihanna had multiple-week chart-topping smashes, Taylor doesn't. WANEGT is her biggest smash in chart-topping terms and just for 3 weeks. Taylor is a solid album seller, but only in the US and she isn't known for songs particulary, more like albums and there aren't hits people who are not very familiar with can easily remember so definitely Rihanna.

I think with this latest album, Taylor is going to gain a stronger stranglehold of the worldwide market, and furthur distance herself from Rihanna. Rihanna doesnt even have a number one album in the U.S yet, and releases every year, and started her career BEFORE taylor swift. Keep that in mind.
