Well...when the movie/CD came out, we gobbled it up like it was candy! We also thought that the crew couldn't sing
But listen to this
I just got the HSM: The Concert CD. And if you look at the track titles, where Zac Efron was 'supposively" be singing, you see "Drew Seeley"
So I am confused? But first let's read this...Zac Efron says this about the HSM Cast.

Even so, Efron had this to say about his cast mates’ singing for the first film:

And here's the thingy about him not singing....
Efron, who’s singing in the original film was dubbed by another actor because—according to Efron—his voice was too baritone to fit with the rest of the cast (sure), said he’d be singing all his own songs this time around for the sequel.

There is some controversy following Zac in regards to his actual singing in "High School Musical." Some amount of the singing was done by Drew (Andrew) Seeley according to the credits. We may never know the whole truth. It is believed, however, that Zac really can sing. He reportedly had a very full schedule during the filming of "High School Musical" between basketball, choreo and acting.
I didn't know this. I thought he really did sing. So Drew Seeley sang for him. And if you look at the High School Musical Concert...Zac Efron looks very very different. I was confused. Why? Cause it's not him...It's Drew Seeley
His face structure is different.
Wow...and he has the guts to call out the cast...when he doesn't 'try' to sing for himself. At least the rest of the cast 'attempts' to do a singing career
(whether it's actually good or bad i.e. see Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu)
