Shakira Dragging on first Day of The Voice

I have some deets from this morning. They had two tapings today, one in the "morning" and one in the afternoon. I was lucky enough to attend the first one, in other words, I was witness to Shakira's first day/moment as a judge on the voice!!! First, not enough Shakira fans, although some of us yelled her name while they were touching up her make-up, Usher got the loudest yells during the intros. Adam's intro was pretty loud too. Blake and Shakira's were about the same...
Anyway,
So they were having a lot of issues and delayed filming. We got there at 9am. They kept telling us "an hour." We didn't get seated until 12:45 and they didn't start filming until 2pm. Blake and Adam felt bad for us, so they came out and performed just for us! Blake sang Old Time Rock and Roll while Adam played the drums! It was pretty awesome, I was totally impressed by Blake! His voice is so commanding and, just plain sexy! It was great! After that, Carson comes out and does his thing. I remember him saying, "Are you guys excited? Wait till you see how beautiful Shakira looks today." He's still loves her, it was cute. Anyway, they announce the judges and Shakira comes out!!!! She sat next to Adam, so what is Cee-lo's seat right now... second from the right if you are looking from the stage. She was wearing super tight leather (or fake leather) pants, a glittery vest and super high heels. Her hair, it was, well, obviously fake, at least most of it. Really blonde, tons of fake/magic hair. Her belly was really pronounced and all the men helped her get up and down her seat, it was cute! She talked a lot to Adam, which was great because we were sitting on Adam's side and I had a clear view of her.
first guy comes out, he wasn't very impressive no one turns around. The judges gave their reasons why he wasn't picked... blah blah blah, it's SHAKIRA'S turn to speak!!! I'm all ears, not knowing what to expect! She was basically the same person she is during interviews. Takes a lot of pauses between words, comes up with some crazy metaphors, unintentionally toots her own horn, but always a sweat heart, at first! Second guy was this hipster looking dude wearing a fedora. He was pretty good, Blake turned around. Third person wasn't picked, I think. Then this full-figured white chick sings an Elvis ballad. She was really good! Immediately Shakira and Usher turn around... then, it begins.
At first Usher seemed soft spoken and nervous, but man, he is a car salesman!!! He buttered her up so much, Shakira didn't have a chance. She mentioned about how she has a lot of "tips about the business" and how she can "inject confidence" in her, which she needed, but that wasn't enough. She also bickered with Adam at that point because he compared the contestant to Adele, and Shakira didn't like that. First time she got animated! The chick chose Usher.
It was at that moment that I got worried. What if no one ever picks her? What if she only gets contestants when she's the only judge that turns around? Anyway, I can't give away too many details, don't want to spoil it, but the other stand-out Shaki moment was when her, Blake and Usher turned around for this pretty girl that sang a Spanish song!!! I remember which one it was, but I'm not going to spoil it!!! She was wearing a nice white dress and ugly orange shoes. Her performance was pretty great, the audience got really into it even though I was sure only 6 of us knew the song. Shakira and Usher went AT IT! This is when Shakira's competitive side came out! I think she had the same thought I had just moments prior, what if she doesn't get any people!? So anyway, Usher went on this rant about how he connected with the singer and how he knows some stuff about the Spanish Market, Shakira basically put him and Blake on blast! She called him out and said that if anyone knows the Spanish market, it was her. She proceeded to read off her resume, stating that she has been in the business for 25 years and that she's an international star, she knows how to handle talent that appeals to different audiences. At one point she started sounding divaish, but then she went full on the attack and said something along the lines of Usher and Blake being American successes, and that's all well and good if you only want to be a success here. I don't remember the exact comment, but the audience was like "daaaaang" Even blake said, "oh really?" Adam was trying to mediate but then Usher responded... Adam again tried to end it, but Shakira interrupted and went in for the kill! She pulled out the Woman-Card! There was a lot of back and forth between Usher and Shakira, Adam was genuinely trying to calm them, but they just kept going. That's all I'll say, I wont say who the girl chose! You'll have to wait and see.
BEST PART OF THE WHOLE THING-
While they were touching up her make-up, Shakira looked in my direction, I waved at her and screamed, she smiled, pointed at me and waved back!!! I then screamed like a little girl!!!
Adam also waved at us. He's gorgeous.
I only saw about 10 or 12 contestants, but I can tell you that the dynamics went from cordial to full on competition. Adam and Blake seemed relaxed the whole way through and messed around a lot, but Usher and Shakira clashed a bit. Of course they all hugged each other after, but I have a feeling that we're gonna see a very competitive side of Shakira.

Finally she starts proving that she is an INTERNATIONAL star rather than a US success. I'm sick and tired of people saying she's a flop just because she's not as popular in the US. She's touched territories that NO other artist can even dream of touching.
