Well yeah but there's different players to throw to, different routes. And then when they run the ball, the line men have to block the defense in different ways to make a hole for the running back. The defense use different plays to try to get to the QB or player with the ball. It's a lot more thinking, than you think.
I do prefer basketball over football though. Go Jazz!
