Trust when I say this...
the ONLY thing that makes a single, a single is if it is sent to radio for an add. Nothing else, including remixes, music videos, radio deciding to play it, etc. can alter that.
Since "Dance For You" was sent to Urban Radio, it is considered a single. A similar thing happened with Christina Aguilera's "Woohoo" which was only sent to Rhythmic radio for an add.
All you have to ask yourself when determining if a song is a single is: was it sent to radio for an add? NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH: Has radio decided to play it? These are two different questions. Just because a radio decides to play the song doesn't make it a single. No T, no shade here.
But trust me, "Dance For You" is a single only because it has been sent to Urban radio for an add. If it wasn't sent to Urban radio for an add, then it would not be a single.
