I love The Avengers to death and it's one of my favorite movies but The Justice League could be the gritty, dark superhero movie instead of the flashy, fun The Avengers was.
I could see them using the Justice League movie to launch the Wonder Woman franchise, especially if the JL movie is a hit and they have a new hot starlet playing Diana.
I'm excited for this my question is who's going to be Batman? It can't be Christian Bale because he's done, but I would like to see a dark version of JL
I don't know about the Justice League - none of the recent DC superhero movies besides the Batman films have been any good. Superman hasn't had a decent film adaptation since Superman II with Christoper Reeves, and all the adaptations of Wonder Woman for live TV have been either campy or crap. They better get a damn good writer who can add some depth to the characters, which is what Whedon did with the Avengers.
This doesnt seem like a smart idea. It's a good way to introduce the new batman which is why I think they really want to do it, I'm sure superman will be good since nolan is involved, but Green Lantern was a joke. Wonder woman and the Flash need their own movies beforehand. I agree with an earlier post that the avengers was so successful because all the movies leading up were cohesive the built up the characters because theres no way to get to every characters backstory in 3 hours. They shouldnt rush this let this new superman be the START (i.e. Iron Man) then wonder woman then flash then a better green lantern and then bring out the JL movie with a new batman in it.
