While Katy Perry has been looking loved up with John Mayer as the musician celebrates his 35th birthday in New York this week, it seems not everyone thinks the notorious womaniser is the perfect match for the 'Part Of Me' star, with brother David claiming she is yet to meet a “true gentleman”.
The singer, who previously dated bad boys Travie McCoy and Russell Brand as well as rocker Robert Ackroyd, has been stepping out with self confessed sex addict Mayer for the last few months and while she might be happy, David Hudson, her younger brother is unimpressed by her taste in men.
“She deserves a true gentleman, and I don’t think she’s found that,” he told Life & Style magazine.
“Katy needs a man who’s changing the world like she is — although not necessarily in the business,” he explained, “Just someone that’s really got something impressive — she can’t be unmatched in that sense."
The 24 year-old claims that the star won't take his advice though and when it comes to men she likes to make her own mistakes.
He added: “She shrugs it off because she’s her own person. She’s very independent.”
But I mean these women have to know that John is a douche before they try with him. It's public knowledge. So Katy doesn't get sympathy points from me with this one.
