Lol. If it's not globalization, then what is it?

The ranking seems fine. Being global is being popular outside of your country and that includes politics and social issues. This is why the most politically polite (with no international issues concerning conflicts, etc.) countries are ranking so high. You can't be global solely based on the economic sector.
Oh and according to the dictionary.com:
Globalization
the act of globalizing, or extending to other or all parts of the world
worldwide integration and development
Global
pertaining to the whole world; worldwide; universal
It's all the same thing. And borders are just lines in a map. You should know it by now.
