WAY is also not charting anymore, which is important to note.
Any idea when it went recurrent?.

Poor Gaga. Losing her record for the most digital sales by a female solo artist signed to Interscope.

I have no idea when it went recurrent.
Do they count points from recurrent weeks when calculating the year-end Hot 100, or only weeks where the song's actually charting? If they don't, Call Me Maybe will probably end up #2.

I think they count total (cumulative) airplay, sales, and streaming points between 12/1/11 and 11/30/12, no?

Passing one million next week.
I like this song. Too bad language barriers kept it from being a smash like it deserved to be.
|
Had no idea it was even close to a million in the first place!!! I remember it being top 20 in the UK last year.

I think so. That would be why Firework got #3 last year, when most people though E.T. would, since it got such large airplay for the entire time period (it still does now)

I just got back from looking through the archives. And that's right, it did. So, it charted for 42 weeks, whereas Carly has 34 so far.

Was We Are Young a bigger radio hit than Call Me Maybe? CMM was everywhere last summer but as I check the charts it seems it wasn't as HUGE as other singles.. still both were big on-demand/streaming hits!
1. Somebody That I Used To Know
2. We Are Young
3. Call Me Maybe
4. Payphone
5. Stronger / Starships
Top 5 for the year-end only 4 weeks left, One More Night and Gangnam Style won't be so high I think, maybe Top 40/30?
I'm hoping for Wide Awake to be Top 20.

Adele's flop single only month away from getting 2xP certification
85 COL 138 110 134 FOSTER THE PEOPLE PUMPED UP KICKS 11,815 -23 15,322 4,870,397
This will get 5xP eventually and then all last years autumn trinity will be 5xP

It did better digitally, but it sank like a rock on radio, because it was not supported by as many formats as Payphone and STIUTK were.
WAY was bigger, since it smashed on Top 40, HAC, AC, Alternative, and somewhat on AAA.

Don't count out WFL in year end HOT top 100 countdown. WFL was radio monster, I think it will be in top 5 in year end chart.

1. Why can't you get it back? Doesn't she just need another smash?
1. Did not know Carly was signed to Interscope.

I think Stronger is more likely to be #5 (or even #4) because it got so much AC airplay.
I don't have a clue though, I got my predictions completely wrong last year, I didn't think Forget You, Super Bass or Just Can't Get Enough would make the top 10, and I thought Born This Way and On the Floor would.

So much of WFL was peaking in late 2011. But I def think it will be in the Top 10. Stronger will edge out CMM and Starships for a secure place in the top 4/5. The recurrent play of that is epic. It was #1 for a couple weeks earlier on the recurrent charts.

Born This Way didn't even go recurrent on the Hot 100. I wasn't expecting it to be rewarded on the year end because it sank like a stone on radio, and its sales foundered in the long term.
Still hasn't even passed 4x Platinum yet.

The year-end includes 7 out of Rihanna's weeks at number one with WFL, I think. At least six...

She'd have to pass 7M in single sales, and I don't really see that happening.

Yea, WFL didn't really peak (in overall Hot 100 points) until January, around the time when SFTTR was shooting up to #1.
