this is not entirely true. there was lots of hype for Trouble, it being known as the "dubstep Taylor" track, and the preview that played on GMA or whatever show it was hyped it some more. It wasn't a totally out of the blue, although it's numbers are astoundingly impressive.

Katy isn't that huge, according to Billboard she is a singles artist.

Gaga is still huge, she sells out stadiums and managed to have BTW debut with three day sale, and stay at #1 for 7 weeks. Gaga is a force to be reckoned with. And WW, Taylor has no chance.
