No, the President is not that powerful. The US was designed to be as slow and inefficient as possible to go against this, along with Checks and Balances.

Yes his foreign policy is terrible, and that is the issue with the US having the president be the head of state and government. If anything, the US should go back to being isolated like it used to be, and deal with local issues.

I don't think Romney is that bad once you look at the big picture. If you see what he says, you'll know that he can't do that. Everything is out of his control, the President can't just make jobs, nor can they just stimulate an economy. He can't just raise taxes, nor can he just cut them. That's all congress and private business. So you can calm down a bit.
