Well for the election, polls would have MOST of them leaning Obama EXCEPT my state (unfortunately).I really want my state to lean Obama tbh,but this state has a bit more rural voters than Urban voters.
I've searched on Google and my swing state boils down to a few counties:
Cumberland (Home to Fayetteville/Fort Bragg) .They voted for Obama in 2008 BUT Fayetteville is known to be quite conservative.
Also,Fort Bragg does play a part in this since the wars are somewhat an issue in this election.
Forsyth (Home to Winston-Salem) Winston-Salem is home to Wake Forest University,so the supply of liberal democrats are there, but Winston Salem is home to a big cigarette corporation and has their fair share of Republican neighborhoods.
Buncombe (Home to Asheville) LGBTs from other states know that Asheville has been (wrongfully) deemed the LGBT capitol of NC.Still, the increasing presence of Gays doesn't change that Buncombe county is in a part of the state that is vehemently Republican.
Wake (home to Raleigh) If Obama wishes to win NC,I would say this is DEFINITELY the county Obama needs to pick up (as well as one or two other aforementioned counties) if he intends on carrying the whole state. This county alone carries about ONE TENTH of the states population

Raleigh (pop. 400k) can be democrat inside the inner metro part of the city ,and is in the same general area as two counties that are overwhelmingly-and faithfully blue, but many of the suburbs (Morrisville,Fuquay-Varina,Apex,Knightdale,and Holly Springs) are Conservative.Voted for Obama in '08 but voted for Bush in '04)
Also, the demographics/median house prices of Cary don't look promising either)
