Saying "tranny" IS derogatory, it's not the same as "gay". Some of the people in this thread, and Ke$ha, need to educate themselves. I know transexual and non-cisgendered people and "tranny" is an offensive term that is commonly used to put down people...transexuals are probably the most discriminated minority in the world so Ke$ha should know better than this. I am aware that "tranny" is derogatory, but do not necessarily think Ke$ha meant it to be derogatory. However, I don't think it's being overly sensitive for people to be offended by hearing its use. As a gay man, I personally am NEVER ok with being called a "***" and never will be. It has so many negative connotations to me and just the sound of it makes me cringe, so I can imagine a transexual or people who personally know transexuals feeling the same way when they hear "tranny".

I think people need to let go from the past and what things mean. people are too sensitive. Seriously, half of the people don't even know what the word means right now. As long as they don't mean it in a derogatory way, then they should stop taking offence to it.
