Where were you when Michael Jackson + Whitney Houston died?
Since they were massive pop and music and global losses, I wondered....where were you?
With Michael I'm UK and I was at home. About to go to sleep (it broke about 11.15pm here) but me and dad were watching ITV (A UK news station like ABC) and it broke. I was praying it was not true Really praying...
With Whitney I just woke up at 2am (UK student life..) and I saw it on Digital Spy. My jaw literally dropped for half an hour. I couldn't believe it, and had no idea what to do with myself. I actually wanted to cry. I ADORED that woman.
So where was you at sis? And what were people like around you too? We saw people in tears on US TV.
When MJ died I was using my computer. I remember finding out because of a facebook post or something.
When Whitney died I was working... as soon as I got out of work I checked my phone and read like 5 different text messages all saying that she had died. I couldn't believe it until I got home and read all about it..
I just saw it on another site, and it sparked my memory, I remember it very vividly. I just was praying it wasn't true, but ITV UK news don't cut programmes short for no reason. It was like that big. He was on UK news and TV channels from like 10.45pm that night till like mid July non stop.
Whitney: While I was asleep. I woke up to hear the dreadful news.
Michael: Me and my Sister were up at like 3am watching Kevin & Perry Go Large when my Sister shouted at me to turn over to Sky News where they were reporting live from his house. It was honestly one of the worst moments of my life - I'll never forget it.
I was about to go to bed when Michael died, I stayed up all night watching the news I can't remember for Whitney.

This, I think I found out the news around 11 pm while I was heading for bed if my memory serves me well...cant 100% remember. As for Whitney....I found out about it through ATRL first tbh...
I was on my computer when I found out about MJ.I didn't believe for two hours anything what the media was saying,when I heard it on news I couldn't believe it.I cried for HOURS I felt like someone close to my family died.

This is hard for me to even post about considering that day was literally the worst day of my life (referring to Michael's death).
Well now that we all know the times that he died etc.. he died as I was at a friends house swimming. And I found out literally right after I got home and ever since then, my depressed got literally 100x worse. Don't wanna speak too much about it but basically it ruined my life. He was the first person I legit stanned for and I still do.
As for Whitney, I was in my room on Twitter as soon as it blew up and my jaw literally DROPPED I could not believe it.
Really praying...
