It depends on whether they also put it on Spotify and other streaming services when they put it on iTunes.
The streaming rule is really ****ed up tbh.
Random example:
Sales 300k
Airplay 100 million
Streaming 750k
The current formula is:
Sales are divided by 1,000 (300 points)
Airplay is multiplied by 1.6 (160 points)
Streaming is divided by 10,000 (75 points)
= 535 points
56% sales
30% airplay
14% streaming
"Boyfriend" sold 521k but had no streaming points... like, zero.

It had more points from sales alone than "We Are Young" from airplay and sales, but "We Are Young" had 118 points from streaming.
Let's hope that her team learns from their mistakes when they release her next lead single.
