“We don’t talk about relationships in the sense of publicity and press and, ‘How do I deal with the public eye?’ when Selena and I talk, it’s just about life and love and in a very basic way, just the same way that you’d talk to your girlfriend about her life and her relationships. We don’t ever factor in the whole bright-lights-shiny situation. We never really talk about that part of it. That’s just our job - when we’re not at photoshoots and on red carpets, we just want to talk about life.
Do you guys ever get jealous of each other?
“You never get jealous of your true friends and htey would never get jealous of you, because if you have a true friendship going on there’s never going to be an air of competition in it. You’re always cheering for them, always happy for them, always on the sidelines rooting for them. My close friends.. I’ve been really close with Selena and Emma Stone since I was 17, and when you’re friends with someone for that long and you go through this many changes with them, and your life changes 100% but they’re still there, it becomes more like a sisterhood.” |
