I am only 15 years-old, but somehow I manage to feel old or at least older than I want to be. I hate the prospects of having to grow up and become an adult. It's scary tbh. Everything is moving too fast for me. And being around little kids is mind-blowing for me. I just can't believe that I was probably a yound kid when they were born, that it was the late '90s when I was like them and that I'll be a grown ass man by the time they're my age. I can't deal with it. STOP aging. STOP.
Do any of you who are older than me ever feel old? Are you scared of the future or excited for it?
Yes, ever since i started chart-watching. It's week-after-week, and months just fly by. A song debuts in the top 10, and it's in its 6th week, like I forgot how long a time 6 weeks actually is.
I can't believe I'm already so far into high school in a little over 2 years I'll be applying for colleges and in 3 I'll be IN college... I kinda hate it really. But I'm excited to be out on my own and I don't like high school much because my small town is a POS.
It's scary. I remember graduating from elementary, and now I'm in my senior year
I'm scared to move on to be honest, I'm gonna be so screwed living on my own.
It's terrifying to think that I'll be applying to Cambridge soon. It feels like yesterday I was a freshman with no clue where I'd go or what I'd be doing after high school.
If it's scary for you to be on your last years of high school imagine me being now a teacher at age 19 and realize that only 4 years ago I was a high-school student. Time has gone fast this year, and I think routine pretty much makes it feel that way. In any case, being busy has helped me find what I'd like to do on the future.
You'll probably feel more confused by the time you're 17 or 18, but always having something to do makes you avoid thinking too way much about things/life as everything in excess can be counter-productive. You know, existencial crisis and all that stuff.
P.D. Yeah, I tend to look at kids and think "When I was a kid he/she wasn't even born. I'm so old!!!!"
To help me manage my time I don't even look at months, it's all about weeks. Knowing that we are in the 41st week of the year makes me feel like it went fast: I can remember when it just was week 15
Yes, I was going to DMV to get my permit and was freaking out cuz I just wasn't ready. All the other kids I know are all like "omG I hate beinq under 21. where da weed aT?"
