Speaking at the National Radio conference in Sydney, the former X Factor judge said that his fans will soon grow tired of him because he "still looks like that little boy".
Actually, that's the only thing that will keep his career alive.
Either maintain his young, boyish looks and keep his main fanbase, or successfully transition into what actually looks like a man and widen his appeal.
He doesn't have a good voice and his performances are still pretty awkward, but that's not necessarily a career killer. As long as he keeps releasing good pop songs then he could remain relevant for at least another decade.

Why are people bringing up that this has been said for 3 years like it means something?
It is NOT hard AT ALL to stay relevant for 3 years. Standing the test of time is being relevant for over 10 years like Britney and P!nk.
Exactly.
That said, it will be an uphill battle but if he makes the right moves and learns from Britney...someone that was on the chopping block since single #1 he could make it.
He just needs to stay ahead of the curve when necessary and follow the right trends when necessary.
Most importantly
As Britney put it early in her career, see 2:44-2:52
I can't at remembering her saying that and knowing that she would still be here today when 90% of my family and friends thought she would be another Debbie Gibson and another female pop star would outlast her and make her (Britney) a thing of the past. Hm...I'm gonna let that one just sit.
You can't really take his not-so-great album sales as an indication that he'll fade soon and you can't take a sold-out tour and songs on the radio right now as an indication that he is "here to stay" < those words seem to be used so loosely. We can't know for sure what's gonna happen to him.
I think what Sharon tried to say is that Bieber physically looks like a little guy ..... his fans are growing but he still looks like a 13 or 14 years old boy. . . . there will be some point when his all grown up hardcore girl fans would like to stan for a man and they won't be here for a guy that looks as a 13 years old boy.
I used to think this too but really his last 2 singles are doing great and actually staying in the top 10 for a good period of time, whereas before he would have a lot of miss singles or they would debut high then drop. He's doing better on radio and having more consistent single sales. His album sales may be slower then before because teen girls are starting to be more focused on 1D so I think he's slowly going to change from the top teen phenomenon into just another adult singer and his younger fanbase will leave him and more older people (who don't stan as hard) will make up more of his sales. Not necessarily bad.
