Do you think she & Def Jam will continue the November/Black Friday release pattern for more years after Unapologetic, or do you think they will eventually have her release an album at another time of the year more than a year after the previous album? Keep in mind next to nobody actually expected her to release Unapologetic this Nov except people when people we're joking... but it actually happened.

All the labels want to milk their artists ... but somehow other artists seem to have more "freedom" than Rihanna they are able to take a break if they want.
If Rihanna was a label puppet she would have absolutely no affiliation with CB AT ALL. She knows its potentially really bad press and that Def jam aren't here for it but she does anyway. Clearly she releases every year cause she's at the helm of her career
