Simple question. I think Justin Bieber has been dropping slowly from people's minds, whereas One Direction is taking over and they're kinda outshining him. What do you think?
Nope, most people I've encountered don't like either or respect Justin and hate 1D.
I had a discussion about 1D with my friends recently and all of them said they have no talent (which is not true) and they have bad music (which is subjective.)
In terms of music quality:
Justin Bieber>>>>>>>>>>>>>>....>>>>>>>>One Direction
I think 1D has the upper hand because they are new, but people who hated JB in his first 2 eras (example: me) don't hate him anymore because his new music is better. So I think 1D shines in popularity and having better personalities. Where Justin gets points because his music has improved whereas 1D's music has gone relatively nowhere artistically.

I don't hate Justin as much these days. He was actually tolerable on The X Factor yesterday and As Long As You Love Me isn't THAT bad (but I still don't like it, it's just too cheesy).
One Direction is better than Justin, but their overexposure makes me want to listen to them less - and their new single is absolutely horrible so that doesn't help either. The only song by them I currently can jam to is Tell Me a Lie.
They're stealing a bit of his thunder I suppose but it's nothing drastic at all. People act like they're punching him out of the game but he's still doing fine.
But honestly, 1D right now is nowhere near Biebers popularity during 2010 and 2011, not even close. They are just the new band while Justin has been in the game for a while.
I think 1D is really outshining Justin, but they're possibly just temporary, whereas Justin looks much more consistent and permanent in the music market.
