I just gained a ton of respect for Ne-Yo. His pop music is definitely a part of him and his style, and he garners a lot of haters from the R&B community because of it. I'm glad he can relate to Nicki, and not just Nicki, artists who deviate from their labeled genre. It's a huge problem when people disrespect an artist because they made the decision to try new things. Like he said, those artists are making music that flows from their style. Why hate them for it? Ne-Yo spilling some fresh tea all over the music world.
