Yes I agreed it isn't country but I'm just saying that it had airplay on country radio and spent several weeks on and to me it would look even weirder with the new rules to see WANEGBT just disappear from the chart like it was never played there. If we are to be objective than we have to understand that it was a country song in the sense that it got played on country radio and nothing more than that. This is why I think IKYWT won't chart because it doesn't have any country influence in it and it isn't played on country radio.

There should be another chart company in the US to combat this messed up billboard genre charts. I mean they just make up their own rules now that they said its our own chart, we decide which song is of which genre. I mean how childish are they.

Well, this is true.
The Country Airplay Songs chart still exists (the same with the other changed genre charts), but
Billboard will use the new revised Hot Country Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Latin Songs,
Hot Rock Songs charts for record purposes, as they made them the default genre charts.
THIS is which I see unfair, as the changes weren't minimal like the Streaming Data addition to the
Hot 100, this time the changes were major, something totally different, so they shouldn't use the past
records for this, they should keep the records for the Airplay charts.

They need to get a new chart that measures things accurately, and doesn't hand out free #1s to two or three artists.

Taylor does have country songs, thats not the problem.

The problem is WANEGBT & IKYWT aren't country at all and both will be #1 country songs, for long periods of time because of this rule.
