Darker than A Girl Like Me, lighter than Rated R, darker than LOUD, about as dark as TTT, and darker than MOTS... I would say mid. or mid to dark maybe
Dark because it was her transition from a good girl to bad... See what I did there

It was meant to be dark but the only thing dark was the concept, the actual music was like LOUD
so you're saying that it was a fun era

Mid. Rehab, Questioning Existence, Good Girl Gone Bad and Disturbia were dark. SU&D, Umbrella, DSTM, HTILY, Sell Me Candy, and Lemme get that were fun. I'd say it's a lot like TTT. It was more edgy than dark. As many dark moments or themes there were in GGGB there were also a lot of happy, fun, dancing and sex songs. It's an album that captures a wide spectrum of emotions from fun, loving, sad, dark, confused, angry, bitter, sexy, empowered, etc. RR and TTT make Rihanna during the GGGB era look naive and innocent, tbh.
