now for a quick runthrough.
The rest of the groups were uninteresting and generally awkward. I wish the rapper chick got paired with a vocal duo instead—something could've happened there. They were okay. Those teen boys were just sad and I'm a bit over the 3 older teen guys' Cali-punk shtick. Sister C has an awful name (I mean, all I ever think about is nuns) but I suppose they could do something if they pick a lead and tone down the cutesy country harmonies. The two black dudes were forgettable and nothing special.
As far as the 17-24s, idk why Jannel (sp?) did I Kissed A Girl but they'd be idiots not to put her through. The deep voiced chick did better than I expected—her high notes were kind of stunning. I hate the white rapper. Willie Jones will make it through but he's just kinda meh. I really liked Paige's song strangely enough, I've been unimpressed up until this point. And finally CeCe was.. interesting. I actually kind of understood her tonight though on a personal level. She's felt like a phony up until now.
