CMB is an ode to her past 10 years as a successful female pop/rock artist. She is celebrating her career and I don't know why people expected her to have her lead single be something completely different from her natural sound. It's a nice uptempo, yet relaxed song and I am proud of her. She has come a long way lyrically and even sonically, there is a slight difference from her mostly rock tinged tracks.

Yes, the synth drums are there but that's it. Otherwise, the song itself is a nice breath of fresh air from her usual rock/angst heavy songs.
