Not sure if this is the right place to post this but my boyfriend and I will be going to London in April and I just wanted a few pointers from people who have gone or live in or nearby London. Pointers such as what to check out, where to eat, etc. Most importantly, where to stay? Anyone know of a hotel that isn't pricey but isn't a dump either? Thanks.

How much is the entrance fee? I'll definitely do my best to check out G-A-Y. We are both not big on gay clubs/bars but hopefully I can convince him to go.

I'll be there from April 10 to April 17 though the 17th doesn't really count since I'll be leavin around 4 pm that day. So 6-7 days. I do want to check out a couple of the museums.

There's a boat ride you can get on the Thames that will pass any buildings near the banks. Even though I live here, I've never really explored the whole city. I've walked around Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament / Big Ben and Buckingham Palace enough times as they're right next to each other. I've never walked over London Bridge, etc

When me and my friends visited we went to a few clubs like Heaven and Fire, they were pretty good.

Then other typical tourist things like Big Ben and the London Eye.

We tried getting into G-A-Y but it was members only night.

Isn't that the Natural History Museum sis?

Both are fab though and FREE.

I've never been to a gay club, even though i'm bisexual

anyway, if you wanna go clubbing, i can only talk about straight clubs. Trafalgar Square is pretty good, as is the West End, there's lots of places to drink/club there. Not sure how gay friendly they are though. Like, they wouldn't deny you entry for being gay, but if y'all started making out and stuff i'm not sure how people would react, depends if there's drunk troublemakers out. Camden is good if you like live music. Brick Lane is also really good but idk if i'd reccomend you to go there at night seeing as it's kinda dangerous at times. I'd stay stick to Central London and the touristy, well lit areas if you're a tourist. Don't stray into the suburbs etc.

Free? Well that's always good. Free will definitely save us money especially since trips are always so expensive!

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely make sure not to stay into the suburbs. I'm not really look into the clubbing scene. He's 32 and hardly likes going to clubs or bars and I'm not huge on them either but do enjoy going occasionally. We are more interested in exploring hidden gems and of course all the touristy places.
