Unpopular states like Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Rhode Island,Idaho,and others are known for not having any concerts for singers or bands. Why is that?

RI because its so small they usually have it in the tri-state area. Wyoming, Montana, the Dakotas and Idaho have much smaller populations, it would be a waste of money for a big artist to go there. A popular regional singer would go however, or indie bands.

I feel bad for the people who live in those states. They would have to travel to see a concert.

I doubt it's that much traveling, you can just go to the next state which can take 30 min to an hour.

I hate when artists don't come to NYC so I just go to Jersey, not a far commute.

Yea i live in south jersey. So i usually go to philly. But some states are so much bigger than 30min to an hour.

It's so weird when artists skip NYC.

I live in Ontario, and it takes me 8 hours to get to a near concert.

Them U.S states commutes would be a blessing for me.

What everyone else said. In the case of RI, in particular, anyone who lives there can get to Boston pretty much within an hour.

Not enough people, not enough money to be made.

You answered your own question - states with few people lack the necessary catchment area to attract enough people for a venue that will make a large band money. Rhode Island is the exemption - its small but also densely populated and Providence is a lot bigger than any city you would find in those other states you mentioned, plus its close to the Boston metropolitan region.
