I've been a fan since I'm Not Dead. It all started when my cousins asked my mum if she wanted to go see P!nk in concert. My cousins started asking my mum if she wanted concert tickets to acts that were visiting Australia. She normally said no, however, when asked if she wanted tickets to a P!nk concert she said yes. Now I think about it, I don't know why she said yes. P!nk wasn't known as one of the greatest performers back then like she is now, nor was she a staple in Australia (especially coming off of Try This). Though, I know the media here had a big reaction to the Stupid Girls video and my mum loved it and its message.
She also got tickets for my brother and I as she wanted to take us to our first concert. The only albums I had back then where BEP's Monkey Business and like half a dozen So Fresh compilations. P!nk's name sounded familiar and I looked back at my So Fresh CD's and saw a track named Trouble, by none other than the Queen. It was in my top 3 most played songs from that compilation. I was a stan before I knew it
In the lead up to the concert my mum purchased the IND CD and we would use the **** out of it on the way to school each day. Our favourites, besides the singles, were Cuz I Can and I'm Not Dead, which were back to back on the CD. The concert solidified me as a stan and my stan card came in the mail the following day.
And the rest is history
