Not that I disagree with this because it did do worse but please tell me how Rihanna's follow-up single did compared to WFL. I say they both deserve credit
Rihanna has had other songs as big as WFL, Calvin hasn't
I don't think just anyone could have sang it and made it a hit. However, I don't think Rihanna is the only one who would have made that song amazing. In fact, I think Pink, Christina, Katy or Gaga would have turned it into something awesome as well.
Calvin. WFL didn't make him worldwide Half of the radio stations didn't even credit him. ... His song 'Let's Go' made number 1 in MANY countries, He didn't need Rihanna, but using Rihanna did do a positive effect, but he still would've got that number one. (He should've used Ke$ha! ) He also made 75% of the song. Therefore, Calvin did it, he should be credited.
They deserve equal credit. He could have given the song to someone else but it wouldn't have been as big or as amazing as Rihanna's. Her ethereal vocals and die hard fanbase is what made that song successful. She made Calvin mainstream.
She didn't make him mainstream. If he didn't use Rihanna, he still would've got worldwide by Let's Go.
But, I change my mind, It would be so sad without vocals, so they're both tied.

This is not about who is singing the song but what he/she gives to the song with his/her passion and his/her voice.

Ohhh, please! When we all heard WFL for the first time, most of us were "Not another dance song, I'm tired of it. It barely has any lyrics". When the video came out though, everything made much more sense and that was the time when the song really blew up everywhere.

Thinking about it, it's more of a Calvin's song than Rihanna's, though. The production made the song big, the lyrics/singing are nothing special.

The song is mediocre at best and huge part of its so called success is due to WFL. Have a sit and zip your lips.
