If you want to listen to a song just look it up and double-click on it, it'll play immediately. And yes you need to be online, unless you're willing to pay for offline streaming. You can take a lot of music with you wherever you go but, of course, not the whole catalog, for that you need internet.

Of course but I don't think you even need that much speed.

It's a program/app, not a site but yeah pretty much. There's radio like Last.FM, installable apps from a host of sites (pitchfork, hype machine, guardian all have their reviews and playlists on there)

You would think people wouldn't mind coughing up a new, minimal bill for new music versus the hassle of searching for illegal music/risking yourself.

Go to the library. Its cheaper and not illegal. I do like to use Spotify for free though

I think they could do with a few exclusives, like audio interviews with artists only found on Spotify, song premieres (which would be great for those streaming points), and other things that would attract someone to use it.

I don't use Spotify much, even though I have it.
