So why didn't she do it during the World Idol competition? If she can whistle, she must obviously have an expansive head voice as well. Why doesn't she use that sometimes? Why so shy?

She confirmed last year that she can still hit whistle notes, but she dislikes them. The only reason she did it on Idol was because she wanted to win and had to prove herself. A decade later: A multi-platinum global superstar with 60 million records sold, Grammy awards, Billboard awards, VMA awards, AMA awards, ACM awards and CMA awards Kelly has nothing to prove anything to anyone anymore.

Kelly. Her voice is more interesting, she doesn't sound like a chain saw, etc.

She was worn from the Idol tour that she went on and was non stop using her voice, she was just starting out at that time and after the show she had to time to even prepare they were having her do albums, the movie, the movie sound track, all the rehearsing, and add to that the tour. Then have her go on World Idol while her vocals were very weak from everything she just did with barely more then a couple days off in between....
And being brand new to the whole non stop using her vocals... so yeah it took some time to get use to.

She uses her head voice a lot on tour so I don't know what you are talking about there

Why do people even bother comparing anyone to Kelly? She's easily the best vocalist of all the pop gorls. It's why I stan for her

What control does Kelly have? She's done it once. She hasn't shown herself as someone that has complete mastery over the whistle register. And you said nothing about control.

By your definition, having whistle register capabilities = vocal talent. Christina has hit her whistles more often and far higher than Kelly. Therefore Christina > Kelly & Beyonce.

Yes Beyonce is very talented at controlling her voice, and I don't think anybody would deny that. The control comment was about your Xtina reference.
I could post a hundred videos of Kelly's vocal control but it would be a waste of my time because you would not even take the time listen to them all and it would be beating a dead horse. But you know damn well she does have an amazing amount of vocal control even more so now.
