I love Britney, I really do. After Gaga she's my favorite, and I go hard for her.

But she's... obviously the most hated? Does she not, in the GP's eyes, represent everything that is "wrong with the music/entertainment industry"... when you think about it, no pop star is flat out disrespected (LOL) in the way Britney is. It's not like Katy or Rihanna, it's far worse. She's lumped in with people like Paris Hilton, and considered a blight on society as a whole.

I don't think she's the most hated but she's definitely not taken seriously as an artist who's been in the biz since the '90s.

Most people our age seem to have a certain amount of respect and sympathy for Britney.

On the whole though, yes she seems to be the go-to girl when mouthing off about the current state of music. (although that might be Gaga now)

People don't "hate" the way the might have around 2007, but she holds surprisingly little weight given her past as an artist.

No. At least in my conversations, every artist is up for a little dragging. There's no respected pop star in the real world.

The most hated is Justin Bieber. But before him, she was lumped as another Paris, Lindsay type. When I was a kid I remember her being called a sexed up bimbo. People now don't hate her as much, its more like or dislike.

She's definitely one of the most disliked and least respected pop stars by the general public - X Factor has made me realize that.

I'd say MAYBE Nicki is more hated but IDK, either way Britney's up there. I'd also say though that I think 'HATE' is way too much of a word, you should've asked if she was the most disliked pop star instead.

Madonna, Britney and Gaga do feel like the most hated!
