Panic over! The rumours are just “rubbish”, they tell MTV News…
Rumours that Girls Aloud will split in September are “rubbish”, we can exclusively reveal.
Following the story, which appeared in yesterday’s News Of The World and all over the net since then, Girls Aloud’s label have told MTV that it simply isn’t true. “The story in a Sunday tabloid yesterday that claimed Girls Aloud will split in September is rubbish,” said a spokesperson. “Girls Aloud are currently rehearsing for their sold out Arena tour which kicks off in May.
“After that they will resume work on their fifth album which they started on in March. The as-yet-untitled album is due for release in November.”
The artist formerly known as Cheryl Tweedy (and now known as Cheryl Cole), added: “We’ve had stories saying we’re going to split in the papers since our first album, it’s getting quite boring now.
“We’ve never been more successful or had as much fun which is probably why people are looking for some sort of problem. Me and the girls are really excited about the tour and the new album later in the year.”
The sun’s shining and Girls Aloud aren’t splitting. Great times.
