I don't think promo singles negatively affected the era themselves, it was mostly the fact that Interscope wanted to capitalize quickly on the massive success of TEOG which ****ed up the Judas era. As far as promo singles go, I think they're a pretty good idea.

I feel like they're aiming for a 1st quarter release so that the sales aren't front-loaded and the song will have longevity.
