I really don't mind those who truly are struggling to take care of their families and themselves and really want to do better for themselves, but simply can not because of the cut throat society we live in; however, there are those who abuse it and it does sicken me. I don't agree with Mitt Romney when he generalized and called the majority of these people lazy, but there obviously are those who are looking for hand outs for the government. I just hate that those who genuinely need some type of assistance are viewed in the same light by some.
I do think the guidelines and regulations should be somewhat stronger. I know so many drug addicts receiving assistance or bitches getting $1000's of dollars worth of food stamps and going to store spending maybe $200-$300 on frozen dinners and other inadequate, unhealthy meals and then selling the rest for a profit.

You must ave been on government assistance, its anything with money from the government. Do you know anyone in your family that has been on social security, financial aid (almost everyone has had financial aid), medicare or medicade. Anything besides the goto one call welfare.
I do agree, that it needs to be reformed. People who can work and are scrapping by with minimum wage should get it. I also think there should be random testing to see if people are using illegal drugs and if they are give them a warning and second offense it will be taken away. But at the same time, I do believe that people should work for it. No point in giving it to the lazy people, from the hands of hard working Americans.
