I'm here for Toxic, Hung Up or SLY winning. Wouldn't mind Kylie winning either.

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday. I went to the cinemas to watch Looper. It doesn't live up to the hype. I give it 7.5/10.
Shall we do two more now? Predictions, anyone?

Oh, OOP!

6. Adele- Someone Like You (8.526)
Highest score: 10 x18 (backtoback, supaspaz, Green, Strangergab, Cassiopeia, Glassheart, lovesong, superben, Kool_Aid_King, Sporefan, berberocka, boyamama, VJoker, Chemist, Onthe6, CrazyCat, classicmainstream, Soma80)
Lowest score: 3 x2 (JDella11, Dream)
An unflattering picture of Adele:
The exact moment the slayfest first began, the first spark that lit the flame: BRIT Awards, early 2011. It was this simplistic, enchanting and tear-inducing performance in front of an arena of stunned silence that the world sat up and saw this girl for more than her rotund appearance.
Britain went into Adele meltdown. 5 weeks at #1 (that's a lot by our standards), and it gave 21 the perfect vantage point from which it could then go and sell 7 THOUSAND MILLION TRILLION copies.
In a poll for ITV, the song was named as Britain's 3rd favourite #1 of all time, coming behind only Billie Jean and Bohemian Rhapsody. Unfortunately, The Ketchup Song failed to make the shortlist.
Lyrically, it's something we can all relate to. You're left broken, empty and wanting when someone you're deeply in love with leaves you. They've found someone new. They're happy, they're better off- but you're left alone in the dust. A pretty universal message that struck a chord with anyone and everyone. Adele continues to drag your faves into the dust whilst heavily pregnant, and SYG continues to find ways to deal.
Jinzo's verdict: 6
I like the song, but I'm exhausted of it. Don't get me wrong, I've cried to it. But I've listened to it so much and had it so heavily exposed to me that the deep emotion of the lyrics has lost its touch. Its just another song now, and a pretty bog-standard one at that when you've gotten over the lyrical content.

Amazing song.
But I agree, I'm kind of tired of it.

I need time to prepare for this next loss.
You all need your strength for this one.

Reasonable eliminations. As long as Evanescence and Adele stay away from the top five, I won't have a problem with the rest of this countdown.

Yes, let's just keep eliminating all the good songs until Evanescence wins.

...It's time.
............................................NOT!
......I'm lying.
5. Evanescence- Bring Me To Life (8.579)
THESE WERE THE PEOPLE THAT KEPT THE SONG IN UNTIL THE TOP 5:
10 x17 (jinzo, MP2K, HaHa2011, backtoback, Strangergab, JDella11, dinorel, jqnetto, lovesong, conseeded, superben, airbornE, Kool_Aid_King, berberocka, Pink Panther, Flashing Lights, classicmainstream)
Fun fact! Remove the 0's and this have finished 2nd: 0 x2 (adrianbeane, madonnas)
The pressed look of madonnas throughout this rate:
Ya'll! How could you let this leave so early?
For the very longest, the also 10/10 flawless Going Under was to be the lead single of Fallen. However, given the success of this track as part of the soundtrack for the film Daredevil, they pushed along with this. The best rock #1 of this new millennium (a title it may well carry into the next millennium at this rate), it was said to break down some pretty monolithic walls in the rock genre. According to the band's manager, rock radio said "We don't play pianos and chicks on rock radio".
But inevitably, radio just had to comply with the enormous demand of its listeners. Amy Lee, truly a first lady of rock. Rock has failed to produce the goods ever since. Porcelain Black does not count.
Jinzo's verdict: 10
This should have been the winner if Swagger Jagger couldn't have done it. Enchanting, dramatic, demands your singing along...all in all, an emphatic and storming #1 that is pretty unique in this list of pop, urban and dance.
