Sound fresh is good and i like that too. MTN is a very very fresh song for me but i don't like it and the song didn't get support from general public also.
ARTPOP first few singles (if from Zedd) not necessary to be unique. To obtain big success in sales and charts are more important at this moment. We can hope for what we want from non-singles songs or next album though.

I don't want Gaga ever to even think she should release something that is generic and not unique just to obtain sales. She can be innovative and sound fresh while having commercial success (look at BR). That is why she is at the top.

zedd has talent but hes not trying to make top 40 hits... gaga however is probably trying to aim for that this era... i think she will as she always does bring out the best in whoever she works with.... she will bring out the best in zedd... just watch homegurl knows what she's doing
