This, basically. Though, Dreamworks is still amazing in their own right. How to Train Your Dragon really should have won that Best Animated Film Oscar over Toy Story 3

Pixar is owned by Disney, but they don't create the films, and even if it was considered "Disney". Pixar is even getting trumped by the success of Dreamworks lately. In 2011, Puss in Boots matched Cars 2 success and Kung Fu Panda 2 destroyed it. In 2012 Madagascar 3 out grossed Brave easily. Toy Story 3 was Pixar's last huge success and likely ended the "Pixar Renaissance". Pixar is falling off in the 10s, Disney fell off in the 00s. DreamWorks is still going strong after 10 years+ DreamWorks is like the P!nk of pop music.

Disney Pixar movies are extremely overrated
If it wasn't for Avatar's inflated mess I would say any of those is the most overrated movie of all time.

Disney is long past its prime, Dreamworks is coming fresh, so yes.

"Any" is kind of a strong statement, given the fact that this is the same company that gave us the Toy Story movies, WALL-E, Up, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. And I haven't even mentioned Ratatouille, A Bug's Life, or Monsters, Inc. Putting any of those movies in the same overrated league as Avatar is rather shortsighted. Granted, it's all opinion, but, at the very least, saying that Finding Nemo is "overrated" doesn't really sit well with me.

Now, Cars and Cars 2? Those are PROPERLY rated. And properly garbage.

On topic, I think that DreamWorks has already replaced Disney's main animation studios. And really, they replaced them ten years ago. But they're still slightly below Pixar, even if their output lately has not been as great as we're accustomed to.

What trend? That 2013 and 2014 will be slayed by Pixar again which is part of Disney.

Their movies are trash. i have to say that they have stepped up their game in the animation field, but their narratives and stories are stupid, pathetic, they know how to get that money and success based on ridiculous jokes that catch the attention of idiots, and children because their characters are more friendly (and therefore more dumb).

But in no way in hell they are replacing Disney.

Pixar alone trumps pretty much everything DW has done, with the exception of the first Shrek movie. Toy Story trilogy, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles are all modern classics, and the first Cars movie is pretty good too.

Disney Animations has been in a slump since the 90s-early 2000s, however. They had some great movies like Lilo and Stitch, The Emperor's New Groove, and Atlantis. Then again, traditional animation is a dying trend anyway.

Pixar's overrated as hell. I'm still mad because Toy Story 3 won Best Animated Movie over How To Train Your Dragon and Original Song over Tangled. Dreamwork's movie is way more interesting to watch. They mix the humor with meaningful perfectly. After Cars 2, Brave, I think Disney/Pixar is going down in international market while Dreamwork still did well. Kungfu Panda 2, Madagascar 3 did better than Cars 2, Brave. I believe they will replace Disney soon
