It's depressing, yes, but not really surprising to me.

Baby Boy was neither blasphemous nor released during Easter weekend, which, the combination of the two is what happened to suffocate its overall performance.

No they're not. Call Me Maybe is way more polished and the lyrics are far more relatable. Not to mention, Black's song was so grating to some that they sent death threats to her, whereas none of that happened to Carly.
