It's a song you've been wanting out for AGES.
I know madonnas will have a smile on her face for this one...

10. Only Girl (In The World) (8.342)
Highest score: 10 x12 (jinzo, Soma80, Strangergab, lovesong, conseeded, Regina George, Kool_Aid_King, berberocka, boyamama, VJoker, CrazyCat, Dream)
Lowest score: 4 x1 (tell_me_a_lie)
An unflattering picture of Rihanna:
With Rated R being a boring, mid-tempo mess of absolute dreck with no UK #1s, it was clear that this flop could not continue. Jay-Z under threat of Beyoncé's stiletto Rihanna then had a bit of personal input- she wanted this new album, Loud, to be more up-tempo and happy. So prior to making the album, Only Girl was created.
This was not just another song for Rihanna- it was a bit of an event. For it was with this song that she hopped aboard the dance-pop bandwagon, and then took the whole damn wagon into carnage. The UK, in particular, was covered in the smelly-ass manure resulting from Ri gurl sh*tting all over the whole damn charts. As of Feb 2012, this song has sold 1,029,866 copies in our fair Isles alone. I f*cking know. I remember being sat on a train whilst a load of skanky looking girls played this out of a phone to the whole damn train. It's annoying, but it's cultural impact.
And, of course, the video gave us that red hair. For years ahead, every ugly ass hoe would be tramping it down their local high street with their horrible fire engine colour hair.
Jinzo's verdict: 10
Brilliant stuff. Not a day goes by even to this very day where I don't, at some point, find myself screaming out these lyrics to my iPhone. I always pretend I'm there in the middle of that hill with flower confetti streaming round me, happier than a pig in sh*t. Rih's best ever lead single. I went there.

Overrated. As. ****.
"Only Girl" may have its fun moments, but it's missing any sort of spark to elevate it from mediocrity. It feels every bit the soulless product of a profit-minded writing camp that it is.

I used to HATE OG, but I've grown to like it (ever since it stopped being overplayed) but its a 6.5-7 song. Good but nothing too special.

It has been the opposite for me. I loved it upon first listen, because it felt fresh compared to the rest of pop radio at the time, but with repeated listens, the shininess of its production has worn off and what's left is not a whole lot of substance. It's a 6: enjoyable enough, but nothing special.

9. Lily Allen- Smile (8.434)

Highest score: 10 x18 (Stevie, HaHa2011, madonnas, Strangergab, dinorel, lovesong, conseeded, tell_me_a_lie, adrianbeane, Sporefan, berberocka, boyamama, Chemist, Dream, Soma80, Konichiwa, MP2K)
#OOP: 1.5 x1 (jinzo)
An unflattering picture of Lily Allen:

This was to be her first big break. After gaining popularity and notoriety from bandwagon bellends on ancient social artefact "Myspace", Allen was signed up to the mainstream. She released this steaming load of cat sh*t as a stab at her boyfriend.
Having released cat sh*t, she then spoke a load of cat sh*t, running her hoe ass mouth at every given opportunity. Speaking about regretting her #1 and f*ckload of success over her direct and often offending lyrics:
"I'm now less inclined to do that, because everything that I do say gets repeated in a way that I haven't said it, or taken out of context and spun in some negative way — and it makes me really sad. I'm not, like, a negative person. I'm actually quite positive, but this industry has really made me feel angry and negative recently. I'm not enjoying it at the moment."
Well give up the industry. Do it for us all. Especially me. Go and do something that doesn't mean I have to listen to your voice. Like baking! We all like baking.
Luckily, she has sort of given up music. Well, we don't know. Apparently, she features on D!ke's newest cut. But no one's going to listen to that, so it's all quite rather irrelevant. She might be coming back. Let's hope not.
The B-side to this single was called Cheryl Tweedy; a song about the commercialisation of celebrity. Do one. Do one with your archaic surnames and dissing of THE NATION'S SWEETHEART. Go and take another ugly wh*re picture on your bed or something.
Jinzo's verdict: 1.5
Boring and lazy. A load of schmaltzy crap about how boys are rubbish I've heard a billion times before, a beat that simply goes too slow, her rat-infested irritating talk-rap...the whole thing is enough to make me punch like, a....dog or something.

Because they are going to win and it will be the terrible fate we all deserve.

It's the punishment for us dragging so many #1 worthy songs and having them not even make the top 50?

Agreed. "Smile" has a great hook and chorus, but "The Fear" accomplishes much more as a song.

We have sinned repeatedly against the goddess Leona Lewis. Now Strangergab has performed some sort of revenge voodoo.
