Something rare just happened this week. Ke$ha’s brand new single “Die Young” from her sophomore album “Warrior” debuts straight at #1. It’s only the second song to debut atop the catalogue. Only Loreen’s “Euphoria” -the winning song Eurovision Song Contest- debuted at #1 last May. “Die Young” is Ke$ha’s first entry to the PlatinumCharts. The song also debuts at #1 on the Airplay list.
Taylor Swift, after owning the chart for 4 weeks with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, moves back at #2. The song spends its sixth week in the Top3. P!nk is charted at #3 with “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”. That’s her 11th week in the Top20.
Olly Murs reaches a new peak with “My Heart Skips a Beat”. The UK X Factor winner jumps 7-4 this week. Taylor Swift spawns another top 5 hit this week. “Ronan” climbs 13-5 making Swift only the third artist with more than 1 songs charted in the Top10 at the same week. “Give Your Heart a Break” by Demi Lovato leaves the Top5 after 9 weeks (2 of them at #1).
“Some Nights” by fun. loses ground falling 5-7, Ellie Goulding’s former #1 smash single “Lights” moves 6-8 and Cher Lloyd gets a massive decrease with “Want U Back”. After a reaching a peak inside the top 3 last week, the British singer moves 3-9 after 16 weeks in the chart. At #10 we have a new debut. Christina Aguilera is back with her new single “Your Body”.
