I think the more important question is why the music industry is such a boys club. Nearly ALL the significant record producers and label executives are male. They're the gatekeepers to the industry; the casting couch is the reason why we have so many "unique" female pop stars.

Does he rap? Does he direct? Does he paint? Did he ever put on an personal art exhibition? Does he have any influence on today's young people's fashion trends?
