It's definitely not murder, because that would require intent. If anything, I think the jury ****ed up. He should have been convicted for involuntary manslaughter. But he did kill her, and he'll serve time for doing so.
Oh, and even if you take into account the fact that he cooked her to cover up the death, calling for the death penalty is just a WEE bit harsh in this case, especially when the death penalty is primarily issued for first-degree murders. I mean, by all accounts, the guy accidentally killed his wife. It's not worth sending the guy to death row over, no matter the circumstances.
