You see the large objective, you see it hit the ground, you see things shake, your brain automatically sends that "boom" feeling in your head.

You probably wouldn't get that affect if the gif wasn't actually moving, as in there are small white bars on the top and bottom and the gif is moving up and down like it's shaking.
