Keep in mind that sales weeks don't coincide, I don't know about their methodology though.

Maybe yes, maybe not. It really depends on a lot of things, but I'd say their numbers, even if it's points, can be used as sales as they are close to reality.

And overall 3Q sales are always better than 1Q and 2Q sales, so the fact it came out in September and the other in March does make a difference.

Yes, Q3 sales are bigger but at the same time one came out in Early 2011 & the other in Late 2012. Album sales continue to decline every year so it kinda evens out don't you think?

Plus, will it really make a 130K difference?

Anyway, this is greatly deserved and she will obviously have loads of longevity and probably end up as the best selling album that was released in 2012 Worldwide

It is a known FACT that sales in the 4th quarter are higher than those in the first quarter. That's not to say that FF would've sold more than TTAL first week had it been released in September because it wouldn't have, but saying periods don't change anything is ridiculous and false.

I disagree to say they do for the 1st week because it's mainly the fan base effect that intervenes.

No, they're not

4Q sales are indeed higher. And summer/January sales are lower. The rest of the year it's the same for everyone.
