Megan McCauley, who is on Wind-up records (she released a song on the Elektra soundtrack and two songs on the Fantastic Four soundtrack. She also released a song called "Tap That", which was produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke) posted this on her myspace blog.

OK, now that our latest comunication gap has been breeched... I feel safe to say, that I am a bit proud of myself today. I took my own advise and stood up for what I believe in. I have consulted with the forces that be, and in a more civil and professional vocabulary, I politely expressed my current feels, which are as follows:

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

I AM A BLUES SINGER

I WOULD RATHER NEVER SING ANOTHER NOTE IN MY LIFE THAN REALEASE THESE POP SONGS!

And I am proud to inform you, that they agreed! TAP THAT IS G-O-N-E! That booty shakin music isn't me! I've decided that when I'm not myself...I SUCK! I have to be ME. Not a ****in ***** Cat Doll...although that "Buttons" song is off the heezy!

I hate myself for contributing to this new fad, where everyone sings the same song with different lyrics and we happily smile, as we knowingly deface music!

The whole reason I wanted to sing was to change the world...

BAD NEWS: Sorry guys... The albums gonna take a little longer than expected, with never before heard music.



I hope she dosn't release a blues album though. Hopefully she releases music like her first couple of songs i've heard (Fragile, Wonder, Die For You).

"Tap That" didn't seem like it was even her.

Does Max Martin have any creativity, cuz it sounded exactly like "U & Ur Hand."

She always seemed very Evanescence to me, like on "Die For You."

Who the hell is she?

Record company at work again....
Wind-Up records just ****s up everyone when it comes to what gets released.
They made Evanescence change Call Me When You're Sober to be more commercial (and thus it sticks out in the album like a sore thumb)
They seriously need to get with it... Let the people write and record their own stuff...

Haven't known her.. Who is she?

So far, it's the only track on the album I listen to. = X

Wow, so I officially give up on her? Her old demos (Die for You, Pay You To Shoot Him, Wonder, et al.) were amazing, but now she's magically changing her genre again? Bleh, people will do anything to be famous.
