Not necessarily...it's not so much misogynistic as it is a reflection of a constantly reinforced gender binary that says men should act a certain way and women should act a certain way, as these ways are increasingly at odds with one another. So if men are "strong," then women are "weak." So by saying the US is seen as limp-wristed, Bolton's basically saying the US is seen as weak, which follows the Republican agenda of wanting the US to assert its power and influence in matters it knows nothing about. They see Obama as "soft," basically for leaving wars and not starting them. I hate the Romney campaign, but this was not homophobic or misogynistic...it was just a reflection of their inane beliefs about foreign policy.
