Kelly didnt sing the song with "Adele's spirit" (which make the song look like she will never find anyone, she will keeps the guy in her heart) , Kelly sang it with her own "spirit" : she has a confident hope that she will find "someone like you", it make the song brighter and hopefully.

So, its not like Kelly want to sing the song with Adele's emotion.
