That being said, Kelly needs more help writing lyrics, she needs to change up the subject matter of her lyrics (which is happening ever since Brandon) and she needs more help getting better melodies with better producers. That's the only reason why she went from being great to a superstar from Thankful to Breakaway.

Looks like only one person had true tea for breakfast this morning. Her lyrics are becoming recycled and generic.

She can stick to the heartbreak, empowerment if she wants to..but the songwriting and lyrics have to be much better.

You would fit in quite well working for RCA with that kind of flop thinking. Timing is EVERYTHING when it comes to this industry. She performed it twice on national television two weeks before the release date. If you think that's sufficient promo to make a hit, apply at RCA. The song had plenty of potential and proved that by reaching the mid 20's on iTunes just based off moderate radio support. Just sit down. You're not gaining any ground on this subject and you just sound like a flop.

The rest of your post isn't too far off. She does need help with her writing and needs to change the subject matter in many of her songs.

Tbh Kelly should keep doing what she wants to do and not go with the trend. That's the reason I stopped stanning for Leona. I will never stop stanning for Kelly but I would be very disappointed if she changed her direction completely. I'm all for an artist's development, but nowadays,most so called evolutions of an artist are just moving with the trend and trying hard to stay popular.

For the record xtina hasn't performed it on the voice yet, there was only a 10 sec promo. And in Christina's defense if the stupid streaming rule didn't exist, it would go top 20. Kelly opened with similar digital numbers as your body with Mr.know it all and debuted at #18 on hot 100.

And you need to stop pulling words out of my mouth, I said it will go top 20 (where I didn't even specifically said which chart), I didn't say it would smash.

I mean Jesus! I said Diamond isn't competition for Kelly (which is again my opinion and not a fact). Deal with it, stop being so defensive about her 24/7 and let me be.

Instead of dance-trend, Kelly can go indie and fall off the face of billboard charts but I'd still prefer that over reproducing the same SUBG kind of pop rock sound. She doesnt have to follow any trend but there should be a new sound or artistic endeavor

Thats why I still believe My december is her best. From her songwriting to production sound to emotion, it was all her and so different. Unfortunately, she went back to producing Breakaway knockoffs afterward (dont get me wron, I still love all her albums)

I agree. I love all her music, but MD is simply a standout.

I don't know what to believe at this point. Everything is pointing towards Get Up but none of it makes sense.

The song is going to flop so bad even with a promotional campaign.

According to the all-knowing Wiki: "It will be released on October 2, 2012 as a promotional single by RCA Records."

I think it'll be on the GH album but it wont serve as the first radio song of her GH era. I still believe it's just flop promo by RCA. We're just suprised by this because Kelly doesn't do promo singles. She just dishes out the first single per album
